dc.description.abstract | Las úlceras y heridas en diabéticos es una de las complicaciones más frecuentes por las que puede pasar un paciente con diagnóstico de diabetes mellitus, esto impacta negativamente la calidad de vida, y además aumenta la morbimortalidad. En los últimos años, vemos como cada vez el ozono médico es más utilizado en múltiples tratamientos. Su efectividad, buena tolerabilidad y seguridad tanto intravenoso como en aplicación local, han llevado a que su uso se extienda cada vez más por el personal de salud. La ozonoterapia actúa aumentando el suministro de oxígeno a los tejidos, por ende, mejora la microcirculación, activando a su vez mecanismos que proporcionan un estímulo al sistema inmunológico. Con esta revisión pretendemos recopilar la evidencia actual que se tiene sobre el uso de la ozonoterapia en el tratamiento de úlceras en pacientes diabéticos. | spa |
