Medicinal plants, used for centuries, represent a promising alternative with fewer adverse effects than synthetic drugs. This study focuses on performing a scoping review on medicinal flora with therapeutic analgesic potential. The objectives of this analysis include the following: the identifying plants used for analgesic purposes, analyzing their primary and secondary metabolites, describing their mechanisms of action and locating the main regions where they are investigated. Research on medicinal plants opens new opportunities to develop innovative pain treatments.eng
