Resumen en inglés
Along the EFL learning and teaching process, teachers and learners go through this exercise using educative resources. These resources are used as the guide during all the steps. Nonetheless, the participants of the EFL learning and teaching process are not always aware of the pertinence and effectiveness of these tools within the development of the program. Therefore, a study to measure and analyze how much benefit these tools bring to the process was pertinent. Two well known English teaching institutions in Bogotá Colombia were selected to be part of the research. The objective of the study was to analyze and find out about the effectiveness and pertinence of the resources used to teach inside those places to optimize EFL teaching and learning. In order to conduct the study, the researchers decided to examine opinions and perceptions of teachers and experts of EFL. Additionally, the perception, opinions and performance of speaking and listening ability of English learners were studied and analyzed. The instruments used and applied to gather the data, were adapted so it was possible to develop the study under the new reality of distant education established after the pandemic. The tasks and assessment used was designed using elements found within the resources implemented to teach inside the two English institutions, so the analysis was based on real facts.
