Casos Clínicos de la Corpas.

Abstract

Desde hace muchos años, (1915-23), el Doctor Cabot en el Massachussets General Hospital, (MGH) implementó una publicación en la Revista New England Journal of Medicine, (NEJM) de casos clínicos vistos en el Hospital, que con el paso del tiempo se convirtieron en conferencias clínicas patológicas constituyéndose en lecturas de referencia para miles de Médicos en el mundo por el abordaje de los casos, el interés que suscita y las enseñanzas que deja (1-3).  Otras revistas médicas, no menos importantes, presentan igualmente reportes de caso, pero ninguna ha tenido la identificación plena que caracteriza al NEJM por ésta sección.

For many years, (1915-23), Dr. Cabot at the Massachusetts General Hospital, (MGH) implemented the publication in the New England Journal of Medicine, (NEJM), of clinical cases seen at the Hospital and became Pathological clinical conferences that have sedimented over time and constitute a must-read of thousands of Physicians in the world due to the approach of the cases, the interest it raises and the lessons it leaves. (1-3). Other medical journals, no less important, also present case reports but none have had the full identification that characterizes the NEJM for this section.
