Características sociodemográficas y laborales del personal sanitario infectado por SARS COV2 en cuatro instituciones de salud.

Abstract

Introducción: las enfermedades infecciosas emergentes y reemergentes son desafíos constantes para la salud pública en todo el mundo. “Los casos recientes de neumonía de causa desconocida en Wuhan, China, han llevado al descubrimiento de un nuevo tipo de coronavirus. El personal sanitario diariamente puede estar sometido a situaciones de peligro intra y extramural, tras la situación de pánico generada por la pandemia se generaron cambios en su conducta, incrementando el riesgo para contraer o diseminar la enfermedad en su núcleo familiar y social. Objetivos: Caracterizar los factores sociodemográficos y labores en el personal sanitario infectado por Covid-19 durante el periodo del 08 de diciembre del 2020 al 20 de Julio del 2021 en cuatro instituciones. Metodología: Estudio observacional descriptivo de corte transversal con población objeto de 71 trabajadores de la salud de cuatro instituciones, incluyéndose hospitales de III y IV nivel de complejidad durante 2020 II y 2021 I. Resultados: El período de tiempo comprendido del 08 de diciembre del 2020 al 20 de Julio del 2021 se encuestaron un total de 364 participantes para la recopilación de información, de los cuales 71 participantes cumplieron el criterio de infección por COVID 19 en las cuatro instituciones sanitarias de estudio, el 66% fueron mujeres y el 34% fueron hombres, de igual forma predominó en un 28% técnicos auxiliares de enfermería. Así mismo los datos disponibles permiten afirmar que la edad es un factor de riesgo de mortalidad importante. En la presente investigación se encontró que el grupo etario estuvo representado por participantes con edad promedio de 33 años. Conclusión: Las principales características sociodemográficas y laborales que influyen en el contagio de COVID 19 del personal sanitario durante el periodo del 08 de diciembre del 2020 al 20 de Julio del 2021 en cuatro instituciones de salud, son la edad pues los resultados muestran profesionales sanitarios adultos cuya edad promedio es de 33 años, la profesión centrándose en técnico de enfermería y enfermería que laboran en una sola institución, y finalmente el estrato socioeconómico pues los mismos pertenecen mayoritariamente a niveles socioeconómico uno a tres.

Methodology: Cross-sectional descriptive observational study with the target population of 71 health workers from four institutions, including hospitals of III and IV level of complexity during 2020 II and 2021 I. Results: The period of time between December 8, 2020, and July 20, 2021, a total of 364 participants were surveyed for the collection of information, of which 71 participants met the criteria of infection by COVID 19 in the four study health institutions, 66% were women and 34% were men, in the same way, 28% predominated nursing assistant technicians. Likewise, the available data allow us to affirm that age is a risk factor for Significant mortality. In the present Research found that the age group was represented by participants with age average of 33 years. Conclusion: he main sociodemographic and labor characteristics that influence the spread of COVID 19 among health personnel during the period from December 8, 2020, to July 20, 2021, in four health institutions, are age, since the results show adult health professionals whose age average is 33 years, the profession focusing on nursing technicians and nurses who work in a single institution, and finally the socioeconomic stratum since they belong mainly to socioeconomic levels one to three.
