    Cultural capital and its relation to second language teaching and learning processes with fourth-grade students of Gimnasio Los Pinos School

    This paper explores the relationship between cultural capital and the processes of teaching and learning a second language, specifically in fourth-grade students at Gimnasio los Pinos in Bogotá. The article proposes to identify students' cultural capital, analyze its effects, and recommend strategies to improve English levels. The state-of-the-art analysis includes 15 international, national, and local research studies related to cultural capital and its effect on teaching and learning processes.

    Didactic strategies to learn vocabulary and their effect on writing skills in 5th graders

    The actual project proposes an action research conducted in the city of Bogotá, Colombia at the bilingual Gimnasio los Pinos school in a group of 23 students from third grade. For that reason, the target of this project is to identify what would be the influence of vocabulary strategies in writing skills of 5th graders. To accomplish that aim the research would be used as a data collection participant observation, artifacts and documentary analysis in order to find the effectiveness of the strategies implemented as the main expectation of the project.

    Nasal sounds of brazilian portuguese : a didactic proposal for pronunciation with pre-service language teachers

    The following research proposal examines Portuguese nasal challenges that pre-service foreign language teachers experience. Phonetics play a significant role in language learning since it helps learners communicate effectively, recognize patterns, and improve fluency. Previous research has discovered that Spanish speakers face difficulties in pronunciation due to the differences of intonation and sounds, but little attention has been given to finding learning strategies to minimize these difficulties. For instance, Pérez (2022) mentioned that some of these difficulties are related to nasal sounds and distinctive stress patterns compared to Spanish.
