    Extrinsic motivation as a strategy to learn English in eighth-grade students at Gimnasio Los Pinos

    The study aimed to understand the impact of extrinsic motivation on English learning in classes of eighth-grade students at Gimnasio Los Pinos and how extrinsic motivation can be used to create an engaging learning experience in English classes. The research highlights the importance of paying attention to students' motivations to create a positive learning environment that encourages students to participate actively in their learning process. In that way extrinsic motivation works as a tool to make more engaging and effective English classes. In that way it is a tool to make learning a second language.

    Humour as a learning strategy for speaking in English in second semester students at FUJNC

    Learning a second language continues to be a challenge for many people, since it implies not only handling the four basic communication skills, but also learning a second culture and how it is reflected in the language. Previous research has shown that with humorous strategies such as stand up comedy, these challenges can be worked on and overcome.However, deeper research is needed on how it can foster speaking skill learning, meaningful learning, and the type of humor that should be used in the classroom. That is why this qualitative study will seek, through action research in students in the second semester of a degree in foreign languages, to know how humor is used in learning a second language and what benefits this humorous approach could have.

Corpas y a la Universidad Santo Tomás de Bogotá respectivamente; dichos docentes, han indagado por algunas de las principales líneas investigativas relacionadas con temas y problemas que se perfilan como de alta importancia en el campo de la educación actual ya que atañen a argumentos epistemológicos vinculados con la innovación, la creatividad, la neuroeducación, los ecosistemas digitales , el currículo y el diálogo pedagógico.

    Pedagogical strategies application to improve the English language learning process in sixth graders

    This research aims to investigate the pedagogical strategies that are employed in a bilingual school in Bogota, with a focus on the English language (L2) learning process for sixth-grade students. The study aims to identify the possible factors that impact the planning and application of pedagogical strategies and their effectiveness in facilitating language acquisition. The study also analyses how teachers design their classes and how they incorporate elements to enable the constant use of the target language, creating spaces for students to use English and interact with classmates. The findings of the research aim to offer insights into the approaches that are used by bilingual schools and the application of pedagogical strategies to possibly enhance the quality of language acquisition activities.
